When the season is closed and we can not hunt and track with our dogs, I always try to keep them in excellent physical condition and keep their senses keen. My dogs will go out at least twice a week where we all run, even though sometimes in different directions. Most people would think Deer Search licensed handlers use their dogs only to find wounded big game. The truth is that in the off-season some of the blood tracking dogs are used for other hunting activities as well. In our case, Mae and Mariel do it all. They are an all around hunting dog.
