  • Wire-haired Dachshund Almost Catches Rabbit

Posted on August 18, 2011 by Gentian Shero

When the season is closed and we can not hunt and track with our dogs, I always try to keep them in excellent physical condition and keep their senses keen. My dogs will go out at least twice a week where we all run, even though sometimes in different directions. As a result, when the hunting and tracking season comes each dog can easily take 2-3 calls a day and on top of that do some rabbit hunting too.

Posted on February 9, 2011 by Gentian Shero

  • How My Love for Dachshunds Began

Posted on August 2, 2010 by Beth Shero

    Update on Mariel

To get started we have an update on Mariel's status. She is currently 8 weeks pregnant and will be expecting her puppies in about a week. She is growing rather large and has slowed down a great amount. At this point we are taking good care of her and preparing for her to whelp.

With that in mind, I wanted to give you a bit of background about us, the history of our kennel name von Tierspur, and how our love for dachshunds began.
